Mount Washington Family Medicine

MD on vacation

Spring break for the doc is a bit earlier this year. Her youngest is now in college, so the spring vacation week is in March instead of April. There should be someone in the office answering phones next week (leave a voicemail if you don't get an immediate answer, and we'll give you a call back), but there are no appointments available 3/11-15. The doc will be back in the office on Monday, 3/18.

Some changes

Tosha is making her transition to spending more time at the lake, so there'll be more times lately where you might see the doc manning check-in, or when your calls might roll to voicemail.

We may bring in some part-time help, but there's still likely to be some times when we don't answer the phone when you expect us to.  Please do leave a message if this happens, and we'll call you back.  Or, if your problem can be easily communicated through the portal, log on and drop it there, where we can handle it in our time in between patients or after hours.

We like things small and bare-bones, but we don't want you to feel abandoned, either, so definitely give us a gentle reminder nudge if you haven't heard back from us on a message.

Thanks so much for your patience as we all pursue our joy, and a little work-life balance.

AthenaPatient app

A lot of folks have been asking ever since we switched computer systems if there's an app available for the patient portal.  And, up to now, the answer has been "no, sorry."  But now, we can share that Athena has a new app, called athenaPatient, that you can download from the Apple or Google app stores.  It allows you to check your test results, send portal messages to the doc or staff, and review your appointments.

For those of you who prefer the ease of an app to a link, this should make your portal experience a bit smoother.

Back to normal operation

Power came back on, Internet was restored, and everyone got rescheduled.   We think most of the prescription refills, etc, were handled without significant delays.  Thank you for your patience; I hope everyone in the region also is coming back online and getting back to normalcy.

Power outage

Mount Washington Family Medicine and the doctor's home are both part of the widespread power outage. If you have an appointment this week, please call to check in with us; when the power is back on (and therefore the phones are back up), we can get you rescheduled. If you have questions or concerns, send a message through the patient portal; we will be checking those once or twice a day when we have reliable laptop battery and internet access. Thank you for your patience.
